Inspirit has a Registered Nurse on duty every day. She is present to assist you with your medications as well as help you carry out any instructions that your family physician has left with you. In addition to the medical component, which requires the attention of a licensed professional, another and perhaps even more important role the nurse will assist you with, is that as your liaison and advocate with the medical system and community services. She knows what is available from your provincially funded system, and what your needs are. A large part of her responsibilities will be to match your needs with the services provided by the system. The gaps can be served by Inspirit and its staff or someone else of your choice. In addition to supervising registered nurses, the Director - Personal Care Services will also supervise a team of personal care assistants who will be able to help you with activities such as bathing, grooming, personal hygiene and dressing.
