To complement your regular activities and interests, the Director, Programs and Recreation, has established a program of activities that is designed to interest you and help you stay involved in your community. Inspirit believes that involvement is critical to maintaining a purpose in life. You are invited to join in these activities if you wish. It is certainly not mandatory that you attend any of them. Inspirit hopes that the activities they have scheduled interest you and if they do not that you will let the Director, Programs and Recreation know what it is that would interest you and keep you involved. Monthly book club meetings, along with weekly Bible studies, church services and Alpha Program meetings will be held in Inspirit's chapel/library on the first floor. Wellness meetings, cooking classes, movie nights, travelogues, guest speakers, musical presentations and live theatre will all be scheduled into the gathering room at the end of the first floor hallway. Art classes, for both the novice and expert, are scheduled bi-weekly. The ability to express yourself is sought after for a lifetime. Art is just another way of expressing yourself. Attend these classes not only to meet new people, but also to learn to "speak" through your art with Cathy Chapin an experienced art instructor. Assistance with a project involving working with wood is available in the carpentry shop. Join in a regularly scheduled group or arrange for individual assistance from Herbert Russell, Inspirit's Manger, "Carpentry" Services. Keeping the body fit is a goal of nearly everyone. Stretching and maintaining strength is critically important to an active life style. Exercise classes are scheduled three times a week for those who need that little bit of assistance in this area. |
